These boxes were made in collaboration with my father John (Bones) Edgar. 

He uses a cnc machine to scan the pipe and carve the piece on the lid, along with a recess inside the box that perfectly fits the pipe. 

He then carefully crafts a box around the shape of the pipe and finishes the inside with a soft velvet.
